Word of the Day: Blue MAGA
The two sides of the Democratic mob are fighting for the future. Don't the young always win that war?
The crisis consists precisely in the fact that the old is dying and the new cannot be born; in this interregnum a great variety of morbid symptoms appear; now is the time of monsters.

Blue MAGA
Blue MAGA is a pejorative term used to compare some supporters of Democratic Party politicians, such as former Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama, 2024 Democratic nominee and former vice-president Kamala Harris, or Hillary Clinton to supporters of Republican President Donald Trump (known for the slogan “Make America Great Again“, MAGA). The term is used to criticize a perceived cult-like dedication to these individuals or the Democratic Party in general, conspiracy theories to explain opposition to Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, and dismissal of news or polling that does not reflect well on them.[33][34][35] Many[who?] liberal social media users claim the term is a false equivalence.[36]
Include Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer.
From the news hole:
“Blue MAGA” is a call-out increasingly used online by young progressives, who reflect what pollsters find is Gen Z’s broader lack of faith in traditional party politics. Older liberals who fail to grasp the urgency of the moment are, in the young progressives’ view, nearly as dangerous as Trump and his supporters. And it was enjoyable for the extremely online left to watch their elders react with displeasure to the rise of candidates associated with the Democratic Socialists of America.
Or as the influential progressive streamer Hasan Piker put it in May: “Blue MAGA is crying a lot lately.”
He uses the term to describe what he sees as illogical devotion to a party establishment.
“Blue MAGA is about cultlike loyalty to the Democratic Party, but unlike MAGA, it isn’t centered around one person,” Piker said via text message. “It’s centered around the image of a party that consultants and lobbyists have carefully curated.”
| Alexander Nazaryan, ‘Blue MAGA’ Has Entered the Chat
The recent successes of Democratic Socialists in primaries has led to a great deal of pearl clutching by establishment Democrats, many of whom really don’t want real progressives rocking the boat.
The kids are saying ‘Fuck the boat! Sink the boat!’
One question to ponder: who is the leader of the Democratic Party?
